California Part 2: Eastern

In April of 2019, I traveled to California with three of my children. Fin and I went out first and traveled through Death Valley. The photographs taken there are in a different gallery. We stayed the second week in Big Bear Lake. Ella was working there. Ruby flew in for this part of the trip. The photographs of this part of the trip are in this gallery.

We traveled long distances during the day to get places. Often we would stop along the way to photograph. We hiked in Big Bear and the San Bernardino Mountains. Drove out to Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve. We were fortunate to be there during a super bloom. There was a day trip to Palm Springs on a very warm day. Joshua Tree National Park was explored. On our last day we drove through the Mojave Desert to the magnificent Kelso Sand Dunes.
